A charming single dad with a dark side falls for a woman with an even darker one.

The Bourbon Boys are back—this time featuring Lincoln, a swoon-worthy single dad with slutty little glasses. While the story attempts to hinge on a dramatic past event tiding these two characters together, it felt forced and a bit hard to believe. The writing style doesn’t help; I found myself rereading pages just to understand what was actually happening.

The good? The romance and chemistry between the characters work. Lincoln Foxx is the ultimate romance MMC: a devoted father and fiercely protective family man who’s not afraid to drop to his knees for the woman he loves. Yes, please.

Third-act breakup? Nope.

Happily ever after? Absolutely.
