The Library of Lost Things
by Laura Taylor Namey
Beautiful prose. It gave me a bit of nostalgia through the many book references, and I felt a kinship to the main character, Darcy. It's a book for book lovers, for sure. Lots of introspection, and a well done first person narrative. If you like being in a character's head, this one's a good one. It took me a week to read it, which is a quick turn around for me these days with my busy schedule. I like the quotes that begin each chapter, as well as the book's overarching themes. Plot aside, the writing really resonated with me. Delightful imagery throughout. The romance felt heavier than I thought was necessary, and the end seemed a bit rushed. It's a solid four stars, with a fifth star added for bringing me joy. I thoroughly enjoyed it, flaws and all.
Highly recommend for the bookworms and booklovers!
