I didn’t love this book when I originally read it but after finishing it I weirdly can’t stop thinking about it and want to go back and read again?
The originality and actual idea of this book as a whole is amazing. The writing itself just didn’t quite feel like the authors best work. There was so much world building and backstory to put in this book it took away from the actual story itself unfortunately. However I feel like this is forgivable as by end of the book I do genuinely love the characters. And I don’t say that about many books.
I feel like this would make a great tv series - the story itself has good bones, but I honestly couldn’t give too hoots about hunt. I love Bryce, Danika and Ruhn (who doesn’t).
The second book was much better as less world building and more juicy storyline. If you want my advice though, don’t read crescent city book 2 until you have finished ACOTAR series
