I don't normally read fantasy, but this one drew me in! This book does have parallels to real life to me, in that often things go on for so long and in the end we don't know why they are happening, and just get so used to things that they aren't changed. I liked Kelsea and her desire for changing what had gone on for so long, even if she may be naive in some ways. It was hard at times to keep the characters' names straight, but I look forward to reading the other books in the series to continue on with these characters.
