Most of this book was world building and hype for the events that occurred in the last bit of the book. The setting really interested me so the lack of plot did not bother me as much as I thought it would. I am excited to continue with this series.
Second read: this ending of this book got me in the feels. I appreciated this book so much more on this reread and I almost cried while driving home listening to the audiobook. I am so excited to read the rest of this series.
