Dubliners by James Joyce
3.0
This book contains several short stories that pave the path of childhood to adolescence to later years. For me, I liked a few of the pieces, however, the majority I personally was not so keen on. At times, I found the writing too elaborative that points were unfinished and it felt as though the text was going on and on and on. However, I did enjoy the ultimate point of this book- that it showcased the normal lives of normal people within Dublin. The stories that I did enjoy were evocative whilst remaining in a peaceful writing style and, overall, this was an 'okay' read for me.
