Frankenstein: The 1818 Text by Mary Shelley

5.0

Obviously I had high expectations for this book, but it actually held its weight. I went into it knowing what happened at the end, but it still managed to keep me interested the whole way through. The book commented on topics like the ethics of cloning and science that I genuinely found really interesting. On top of this, Shelly’s descriptions were absolutely beautiful and the way that she describes the monsters feelings reminded me of that to the ghost in phantom of the opera. The overall story kept me hooked from the beginning and I’m incredibly glad that I’ve finally read this book.
