Island of Glass by Nora Roberts

5.0

I get worried with trilogies because when you build up to a big showdown and are also trying to wrap up the storylines, it can be difficult and sometimes lead to an underwhelming finish.

But this?

This was absolutely fantastic and I loved this finale of the Guardians trilogy. It ties up everyone's stories so beautifully and I love how the final showdown went. I know that Nora Roberts is known for writing romance, and that's cause she's great at it. None of the couples got together in the same way or had the same dynamic in their relationships. Without any spoilers, all of them were so sweet and compatible in their own ways that highlighted their individual personalities.

I also loved how we continued to see the depth of their friendships within the group (Bran and Annika, Sawyer and Riley) because, even though I liked the romance, I liked how she focused on their friendships and highlighted it throughout the story.

I loved this trilogy and was so happy that this was a wonderful final chapter to the trilogy. It absolutely makes me want to pick up more of her books.
