honestly? i only read this so it could get out of my pile. even the foreword about tolstoys misogyny and how he views women and family told me id be hating this book but i pushed through anyways. And it did not disappoint. cant believe this entire book was just spent talking about how women are either ‘creatures’ that mystify men and take them out of their lane as if men are beings that cant think for themselves and are helpless. Or that women are there to only fulfill mens fantasies of settling down having a nice family and being a good citizen through devoting themselves to their husbands. like really. i cant believe men are a thing that exist
