I’m sorry Jeneva Rose but this is just a bad book. Like actually awfully written. I usually give writers a bit of slack and say it’s difficult to write books so all should be celebrated but this was just so profoundly terrible. 
+1 star for the sheen reference of the character being so ‘complex’ that she’s like an onion
+0.25 stars purely for the fact that I finished it
