I guessed the end by the middle-ish of the book, so this mystery was kind of a slog after a while (after he sleeps with his partner and Rosalind freaks out again about her for no reason . Had it on audiobook while finishing up some knitting, I started skipping some of the really tedious sections of self flagellation because it was making me go from disliking to hating the narrator. I lost track of the "if I knew then what I know now..." bits, it got to be so much. By the end I was over it. Did really like some of the descriptive childhood sections, those were so nicely done.
