This certainly had its twists and turns, but the kind that left me confused, not shocked. There were two antagonists in this book and one of them felt rather pointless except to have a volatile and disturbing plot line. It just felt unnecessary to have that trauma included. Once things started clicking towards the end, it was an interesting plot concept; and then you find out that the victim is just as messed up as the sociopathic adversary, which ruined it even more for me. As if that wasn't enough, it ended and left me with unanswered questions. I think overall this was a frustrating read for me between the multiple timelines and perspectives and puzzle pieces. I wanted to like it and enjoy the plot twists, but they just fell short.
