The Crow Girl by Erik Axl Sund

2.0

I am an admirer of the Nordic Noir genre, but this was too noir even for me. I should've probably done more research beforehand about possible triggers but hey, at least now I know the amount of child abuse and assault that I can read about.
These books resembled more of a 700-page long trauma-dump. The psychological aspect was not too believable and I was missing an important part of thrillers: trying to figure out who the killer is. There was so much misdirection that by the end of reading this I just wanted to get it over with.

But I do appreciate the nod to Swedish winters and calling the winter sun useless as a person currently living through another winter where you see daylight for about 3-6 hours per day.
