Miracle Creek
by Angie Kim
A court drama centered story after a tragic loss of lives from an explosion in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Told from the perspective of several characters, you get a multiple sides to the tragedy and everyone involved.
It's sad and painful to read at times. I've personally felt some of the things that Elizabeth felt with her autistic son, Henry (as I have a son with SPD)... But I also felt sick at the abuse she did to him- physically and mentally.
I really felt for Young through the whole thing. She's just trying to do her best for her family after immigrating to America. The lies she is forced to tell and secrets she is forced to keep.
