I love when a book surprises me!
League of Liars was not what I was expecting, and I mean that in the best way. This book was fast-paced, with multiple POV's and jammed packed with secrets, conspiracy, and action. League of Liars has a very unique storyline, one in which I can't remember reading anything like it. I loved the world building and the complex characters. It is an urban fantasy and has little in the way of romance. The 'magic' in this book is very different in that it is not an individual thing but more a source that anyone can use but seems to be an entity in and of itself in a way as well. It is also outlawed. If you are looking for a unique combination of crime, mystery, and fantasy, this is a fantastic read.
