I finished “A Love Song for Ricki Wilde” by Tia Williams yesterday.
Y’all know I don’t usually go for the cis het romance. But, having read two of her books, I will always trust Tia Williams to tell a gorgeous story that celebrates love and Black joy. This was an A+ for me.
“Your thoughts are loud,” he noted wryly.
“Della didn’t believe Ricki’s story, because it sounded like the truth.”
“I’m lucky to have love like that. Some people don’t, you know. Some go before they’re loved correctly, or even at all.”
