I wish this book existed when I was a kid. This is one of the best fantasty stories I've read. Tynion's allegory for being queer in a straight world, combined with the characters actually also being queer is a great perk and concept. But, aside from that, the storytelling is fantastic. The art is a perfect match. The dialogue fells honest. The pacing is perfect. I got to the end of the book and felt jealous of kids in the future who can sit down and binge this whole series because I felt very satisfied with the way this volume ended but I desperately wanted to read more.

If you love fantasy, check this out. If you enjoy all-ages books, pick this up. If you're looking for Queer Representation in comics, snatch this book and lend it to your friends. It's probably my favorite graphic novel that I've read this year.
