Well, this story definitely has the title to grab any suspense fan’s attention. I mean, who wouldn’t want to stay in a Hitchcock-themed hotel? However, for the longest stretch, I was disappointed in the lacklustre series of events…it was a lot of old friends, reunited, simply arguing about everything. It just didn’t capture the feel of it’s namesake’s style.
But, I did like the ending and was surprised by its reveal, even if my sense of dread and anxiety never catapulted to any kind of crescendo. You definitely get the voyeurism of a Hitchcock film, I just wish it had been created more for suspense rather than watching a bunch of bickering. I think Mrs. Bates herself would have made a quick appearance, ridding herself of all the rubbish just to shut everyone up 😂🔪
