Just finished an incredible space adventure! Meet Saida, the ultimate badass, and her trusty robot companion, Rodok. Together, they're on a wild mission to rescue a loved one, and let me tell you, it's a rollercoaster from start to finish! 

We follow the story with two different timelines, one is Saida's childhood in Sektor 47 and the other is Saida/Rodok in the present.  They really flesh out her character and her bond with Rodok. But be warned: these parts are heavy, we're talking violence, racism, police brutality... but they are paired with incredible moments of kindness, resilience, and love, especially with her interactions with uncle and Rodok. It's a tough but rewarding read. I loved the diversity in this story! 

Why didn’t I gate it 5 stars? Well, even though I enjoyed the pace of the story, I did found myself wondering about quite some things at the end that where left unexplained, like what happened to Aveline Gardener?, what’s up with the emblem or the grand design? It felt that maybe these will be answered in the second book but I feel like they could have been explained on this one. 
Highly recommend if you like space with a complicated history and politics, paired with wonderful adventure.

¡Acabo de terminar una increíble aventura espacial!  Conoce a Saida, una super badass, y su fiel compañero robot, Rodok. Juntos, están en una misión para salvar a un ser querido, y déjenme decirles, ¡es una montaña rusa de principio a fin! 

Seguimos la historia en dos planos, el primero es Saida en el pasado viviendo en el Sektor 47 y la segunda es Saida/Rodok en el presente. Los flashbacks de la infancia de Saida son parte que más disfrute. Realmente desarrollan su personaje y su vínculo con Rodok. Pero debo advertirles: estas partes son fuertes. Estamos hablando de violencia, racismo, brutalidad policiaca... pero esta entremezclado con momentos de increíble bondad, resiliencia y amor. Es una lectura dura pero gratificante. Me encanto la diversidad en esta historia. 

¿Por qué no le di 5 estrellas? Bueno, aunque disfruté del ritmo de la historia, me encontré preguntándome muchas cosas al final que quedaron sin explicar, como ¿qué pasó con Aveline Gardener?, ¿qué pasa con el emblema o el gran diseño? Siento que tal vez se responderán en el segundo libro, pero creo que podrían haberse explicado en este. 

Lo recomiendo mucho si te gustan las historias en el espacio con una historia y política complicadas, acompañado de una maravillosa aventura.
