This is the 9th book in a series, but even without having read the previous books, it is easy to jump in and be immersed in the plot as it unfolds. The main character is a K9 handler with the FBI, Meg battles her internal fears while pursuing the hijacker of a plane that has gone down in the mountains. The author moves the plot forward with each chapter pulling my attention to the next while providing enough details of climbing to build the sense of danger while not being cumbersome. Great novel that is absolutely worth a read.
