Shadow Witch by Kim Richardson
2.0
This book was frustrating. Tessa comes from a magical family but has lived in the mundane world for awhile - yet somehow she vacillates between knowing nothing about magic to info dumping about it and being decent using it.
Both Tessa and her potential love interest seem to be rage filled - him insulting her mother at first meeting and her screaming in his face repeatedly. Plus several other characters seemed blasé about their casual violence. It just over the top for me. This seems to resolve at the end - I'm not sure if I will continue.
I did enjoy her aunts, her vampire sidekick.
