The Midnight Star by Marie Lu

I wanted to hate this all the way through to the end, I really did. I felt like 3/4 of it was slow and hard to get through. I HATED Adelina and was ROOTING for her death. I hated reading from her POV and I wanted her GONE. I'm upset because I had resolved myself to hating her and this book until I hit the last 1/4 where this bitch got a redemption arc? Nah. The last 1/4 was the best part of the whole book/series. Getting to see the interaction between the gods/goddesses was super cool. I never really thought they were actually real until we got there. Overall, the series was pretty meh to be honest. I just wish the main character that we got to see primary POV from was more likable or was at least a little more morally grey than she really was. She was fine in the first book, and I kind of understood her in the second up to about the halfway mark but the end of that book and the third she was the WORST and I dreaded reading about her. I hated how everything kind of revolved around her as well, that could have had to do with the fact that she was our main POV, but I think the story could have benefitted from differing POV's and adding more main characters.
