One of the best YA fantasies I've read! The world was interesting and complex and explained organically throughout the story. The characters had depth and individual motives that made the difficult decisions they faced very suspenseful. I also thought it was well paced in terms of action scenes, unraveling the mystery and character development. I'm excited to read the sequel!
