I loved this book, the story takes off and doesn’t let off until you turn the last page. Definitely sets up for another book (which I will have to read). The ending was unexpected especially considering that Asakawa wasn’t in any real danger after the first day since he showed the tape to Ryuji. The big reveal of spreading the tape being the cure for the disease for the individual really forces the reader to question their own priorities and ask themselves what they would do in Asakawa’s position. Would you sacrifice the lives of other innocent people to save your own loved ones?
