The Virgin Next Door by Lauren Blakely
5.0
A perfect treat
Veronica is working two jobs, a children’s book editor and a sex columnist. When one of her columns gets accidentally sent to her conservative author and the entire company, she finds herself sans job.
By luck, she ends up at Bikes and Bloom, a bike and flower shop as a temp and it might be a good place to lay low for a few months before venturing back into the publishing world.
There is one problem though. Veronica’s new boss Milo is hot, scorching hot and Veronica might’ve flirted with him earlier. Oh yeah and he’s the Mr Sexy Pants in her column. But the job is only for three months and surely that’s all it is. A crush.
Or is it?
I absolutely loved reading this! It was honestly one of my happiest reads this year and the heartwarming nature of it just swept me away.
This book is so sex positive and sex toy positive whirl keeping it nice and soft. Veronica, despite being a virgin, isn’t afraid of her own sexuality and just oozes confidence. I love seeing that in a woman. Milo is all about her pleasure and what she wants and we love to see it. He’s also open and supportive, never once doubting her skills anywhere. And he doesn’t mind toys in the bedroom, so he might be the perfect book boyfriend out there.
There is very little drama between the couple and the 3rd act breakup was one of the least dramatic out there. I understood why it happened and it didn’t feel too drama-filled or drawn out. And the getting back together was so sweet
