They Came to Baghdad
by Agatha Christie
About the level of racism you’d expect of a Victorian born Englishwoman writing about Baghdad in the 50s. Not as horrid as it could be. Victoria Jones is a deranged delight of a protagonist, and the twist at the end is fun. Fast paced and well written!
