A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

2.0

I love the concept of this world, but this writing is painful. With the excessive redundancies of repeating the same pieces of information over and over, with special emphasis on Poppy’s own repetitious inner dialogue, it feels like this was written assuming the reader isn’t smart. Apart from the gross repetition, this is a classic example of telling instead of showing a story.
