The Foolish Tortoise by Richard Buckley

3.0

Not written by Eric Carle but illustrated by him, in the simple tale of an idiot tortoise who decided he doesn't need his shell.
Is it symbolic of people who decide that they don't need the support of others? Who believe they can do it all alone without a "shell". Maybe or maybe it is just a story about a foolish tortoise.
Eric Carle's illustrations are great.
Eric Carle 24/80.
