Another laugh-out-loud romance tackling serious topics with tact and care. This is single POV story about two competitors on a reality TV show molded on that terrific British show about bakers. Hall tackles mental illness, racism, and religious biases. Paris Daillencourt's roommate enters him into a baking show in an attempt to distract him from his anxious overthinking. He meets challenges of all kinds during the contest. Now, it is worth a content warning for his his worrying thought patterns throughout the book. It feels very real, but at time somewhat repetitive. Be prepared.
