Never Let Me Go by Kianna Alexander

2.0

I’m so sad I didn’t like this book. Normally I am a big fan of the single parent trope and I though a romance with the nanny would be really interesting. I think I expected drama and a little bit more of a “punch” but that is not what this book is. There is no real drama that effected the relationship which is what I wanted. Sure we find out that Max’s father has a love child but that was honestly so unnecessary to the story. I wanted slow burn, angst, and tension but Von and Max say “I love you” after like a week of dating which was just not what I expected going into this book. Also, the writing style didn’t work for me and I found myself skimming a lot of it. But if you are looking for a sweet fast read I think you would enjoy it. That was just not what I expected so I was disappointed from my own expectations.
