Cripple Poetics by Neil Marcus, Petra Kuppers

5.0

A beautiful and engaging love journey, the grace and articulation of the authors come through surprisingly for outsiders and as a recognition of culture and affirmation of crip(ple) love for those of us who experience it. Not only poetry but also text message, essay, and historical exploration, the ways in which daily life intersect with activism, disability rights, cross-movement dialogue, and history are woven into the conversations between two lovers.

See the reviews below for some helpful critical engagement and questions.

One note- it took me awhile to figure out that the font changes signal the two voices. Also, read below for some context, because there are some pieces that could be confusing without more information.
