A fantastic sequel to The City We Became. Fascism is back as the main tool of our enemy and Jemisin handles it extremely well. Our heroes fight back against these forces and this time look for assistance from the other living cities of the world. It was extremely enjoyable to read about the other living cities personified and I loved how fleshed out our characters, the world, and even The Enemy became. Another masterpiece of a book by N. K. Jemisin and this has become one of my favourite series.
