Every once in a while an author creates a character that you just love. Sappho Jones is a fantasy writer, happy in her life until she realizes she's teetering on the edge of menopause and the last chance to have a child of her own. There's a sexy potter, Nye, who's a possible candidate for fatherhood and a roster of eccentric but lovable characters to cheer her on.
This is a quirky and fun story, a quick read with a lot of laughter thrown in for the reader. Sappho is a delightful heroine and I truly appreciated her and want her as my best friend. Ms. Ashley is a good writer and this is one of her best.
