Man, this was a good read. A man and his wife win a trip for a getaway at a chapel in Scotland (in the middle of nowhere). Their marriage is struggling and they are hoping this will help. Strange things start happening while they are there. We hear from three characters along with flashbacks to letters written by his wife each year on their anniversary. The letters expose the good and the bad of their marriage. I had to stop listening literally right after the sentence that exposed (one of) the huge twist(s). It was such a bombshell and honestly, it was nice to have time to try to process the implications. I was not expecting the twists at all and that made it so entertaining!
