I have to say this was definitely a step up from the first book. Mac was not as annoying even though she still could act and say things that don't match her age. Barrons is still sexy and mysterious. As for the actual plot of the book i have to say i enjoyed it a lot. The pacing was good, the lore wasn't really expanded much more but the fae are still interesting. The relationship between Mac and Barrons is such a slow burn but its a good burn. Can't wait to continue on to the third book!
