The Abbess of Crewe by Muriel Spark

4.0

Both books I have read from Muriel Spark are about powerful, corrupt women trying to fulfill a scheme and I love it. This book was incredibly interesting and kept my attention wholly.

But I will admit to not being alive during the Watergate scandal or having been taught much about it. So I was completely unaware that this was supposedly a satire. I don't know how my feelings would have changed if I read with that info in mind, but generally, if you liked The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, you'll probably like this.
