I wasn’t a fan of reckless, because of the repetitive storyline. So when I started this book I hoped there would be some new challenges to overcome than the other books.
That was why I was not a fan of the plot on this one. Also because I found the ending a bit flat and I missed the political aspect. It wasn’t talked about enough or just not focused on enough.
i really found it hard to read in the beginning and overcoming the same challenge from book one. Tbh when I look back at it there wasn’t anything memorable other that the stolen moments of Kai and pay. Which I do like but I also like plot. So the plot definitely missed many places in the start and some in the middle and definitely the end. Like why wasn’t there talked about more politics? Why weren’t there more talk about what the people had to say about kitts death and why weren’t the elite mad? I know that we got told the loot was about to be restored and they hinted that the traiding with the other cities went well. I just feel like I missed some big questions being explained.
I also feel there is some plot holes or maybe just me that hasn’t read between the lines. But what did kitt mean that calum maybe want a dual? And why did he say sorry when he killed him? And who was Kai’s father? What happened to Kai’s mother? Why wasn’t she mentioned at the wedding? Just so many things that I may have missed or is what I felt was missing to the plot.
I do like the book even though I missed some things and saw what would happen for the most of it.
