This was a great continuation to the story of the first book and brought some interesting spins and additions to the story of the first book. However, it didn’t fully grab me emotionally in the same way the first book did. But no sequel is ever as good as the original. I definitely enjoyed the commentary on our current politics though, so it’s still a good sci fi novel for me. We only have one planet, and we’re more alike than we are different, despite where we come from.
