I really liked this! I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of people were disappointed in it, but I wasn’t. I really liked the whole premise of this one and how action packed it is.

I personally loved meeting a lot of new characters and getting introduced to new aspects of her world building. Yes, it was very confusing at times, but I just went back and reread the passages that I needed to understand. I also joined a Fable book club that was reading this and read everyone’s comments on each chapter. That really helped me understand what was going on!

I loved seeing Violet grow into a leader. She was immature at times, but I liked her a lot better in this one than in Iron Flame.

My only complaint about this book is the spice and Violet’s obsession with Xaden’s looks. We get it. He’s hot. You love looking at him and touching him and you want him so bad. But girl, you have got a whole war going on around you!! I just found that part a little irritating.

Regardless, there was so much that went on in this book and I loved it!

Oh and RIDOC!!
I liked him in the last two, but WOW did he pop off in this one.

What I want in the next book:
•multiple POVs
•more Aaric, Rhi, and Sawyer
•less spice
•more Tairn and Andarna sass
