All aboard the Nesta train! CHOO CHOO! Gosh, what a great story of character development. From seemingly spoiled brat, to cold-hearted with an iron wall, to finally grappling with her trauma in a healthy, manageable way. I loved getting the 3rd person dual POVs in this, switching between Nesta to Cassian. I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope and this just had it all: the bickering and banter, the electricity between the two, the side characters rolling their eyes at their CLEAR attraction to each other (*cough* Az), and the SPICE??! Gahdamn.

The friendship/ sisterhood between Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie is actual goals. They're endlessly supportive of each other and they're the mirror image to the Bat Boy brotherhood.

And The House?! Best character. Doesn't "say" a word and yet is the actual most magical, wonderful, caring thing you could imagine. And it reads SMUT ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

With the sexual tension, the magical house, the building danger, Nesta becoming a badass and starting an army of Valkyries, this book just hit all the right feels. Spicy + cozy + enthralling woman/ female empowerment = a book I adore and will re-read in the future.
