What a delight it was to read this! Ouran High School Host Club was one of the first animes I truly loved, with our non-binary king Haruhi “I don’t give a fuck about gender” Fujioka. She was one of my first queer role models as a weird, gender non-conforming kid, and so it was amazing to revisit this story in manga format. It’s funny and light-hearted, but also warms my heart so many times. I specially like how, amid the jokes and funny moments, it manages to convey moments of sincerity and true emotional bonding with a few looks. Also, I love how Tamaki is just. Immediately whipped.
