I will be honest... It had been such a long time since I read Roar, and I didn't feel like re-reading it before going into this one, so that was my bad. I had forgotten so much that had happened in book 1, and that fact made me not feel as connected with the characters. H O W E V E R. the last chapter totally got me re-invested with this series, and I cannot wait to read Reign when it comes out.
