Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

challenging emotional reflective sad medium-paced

4.0

I have never been truly interested in memoirs, but this one had been trending and I am happy that I picked it up. It was sad to hear about the story of her mother’s cancer diagnosis leading to her death, but it was a very inspiring story. Through her grief, the author shared intimate parts of herself through music, culture, her ancestry, and mostly food. I liked learning about Korean culture through this book and it was a nice change of genre.
