This book was great from start to finish! I love a book with strong secondary characters, and this one delivered.
The world building is good, without getting so in depth that it may not appeal to some readers.
The characters are diverse, and the author isn't afraid to make political statements with their craft (without sounding "preachy" or stiff).
The ending had me 🫣🫣🫣 ahhhh. I can't wait for book two!

Graphic: Self harm, Blood, and Classism
Moderate: Racism, Sexual content, Violence, and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Physical abuse, Grief, and Alcohol
