I should start by saying creepy books are not usually my jam. But since I have been gravitating more towards creepy and dark fantasy, I figured I’d give a shorter book a try.
Oh my! I came for the creepy grotesque and stayed for the dark humour. The book is full of beautiful detail and the characters are rich and complex. I had to put down the book a few times to breathe through the creepiness, but this is exactly what I wanted and needed.
