I had only watched the show, but I saw so many interesting reviews, good and bad, for these books and my curiosity finally won out. Overall, I did enjoy this book. There was a lot of clever humor, some good steamy scenes and I did enjoy both Daphne and Simon as characters. I did think that it dragged in certain parts and felt a little long, but I still enjoyed the story. I did feel SUPER uncomfortable with THAT scene (iykyk) and I get that Daphne is ignorant of relationships and sex, but it was still icky. Honestly my favorite part was the banter between the Bridgerton siblings, especially during the balls and social events. Anthony, Benedict and Colin were a hoot. Also, LOVE Violet Bridgerton! She was so funny and such a sweet mom. I’m glad I finally read this one and am definitely continuing with the series.
