More: A Memoir of Open Marriage by Molly Roden Winter

5.0

I really enjoyed this! As someone who’s dipped a toe in the “ENM” poly world, it felt very relatable and validating.

It always feels like people in poly relationships just spring up out of the ground fully formed and evolved and immediately comfortable in type of relationship that’s very much not the norm. Rarely have I seen expressed the work it takes to unprogram ones mind from the “monogamy as default” setting.

In “More” the author takes us through her roller coaster - the highs of learning more about one’s self, the freedom, the fulfillment… but also the lows of jealousy (and trying to work through that!!!), awkward dates, mis matches of personality and sexuality, the stress, etc etc.

I recommend if you’re at all curious about the concept of a non-monogamous world, and like memoirs.
