Behind a Mask, Or, a Woman's Power by Louisa May Alcott

5.0

When I saw that the author of Little Women wrote a psychological thriller, I didn't have that high of an expectation for it since it sound like a complete 180 of all her other works. I didn't think her writing style would transfer or that she wouldn't be able to pull some good punches in it. I was 100% wrong. This was my favorite Louisa May Alcott book and the best thriller book I read this year. The villain was one of the best I ever read and I was cheering them on for the whole entire book. You never knew what she was thinking, what was true, what she was doing to trick others, what she was going to do next. I loved every part of this book and all the punches it doled out since it was so entertaining and feminist at the same time.
