It’s hard to put together words for this one, but I would be surprised if it’s not one of my top 5 reads of 2024. The plot is probably most similar to The Hunger Games, but it’s much more grounded in reality (and therefore even more terrifying). Although it’s very different from Babel, I think similar audiences would enjoy this book. It’s simultaneously heartbreaking and informative, and I certainly won’t be forgetting it any time soon.
