This review is complicated for me. Because I loved it and I also have a lot of complaints.
I feel like so much of the personality of characters & plot/themes borrows heavily from Throne of Glass and ACOTAR.
I also notice that the middle of all of these books gets really rough. Like I had to PUSH through to finish.
But damn the last 20% of these books has its own life and really shows me what this series COULD BE.
I think the story on its own could be fantastic. I enjoyed so much. I wish the author had followed her own voice a little more and I’m praying the next books are significantly and clearly more independent from other books out.
